Byernes parentes – fotografier fra midlertidige rum

In collaboration with Jonas Georg Christensen

Byernes parentes – fotografier fra midlertidige rum (in English: The Parenthesis of the City – photographs from temporary spaces), as an exhibition, functions, with its two site-specific installations of photographic work by Jonas Georg Christensen and Martin Ransby, as a process-based evocation – which as a process has left behind two traces – from two diverse practices. Practices that, however, have strong interests and frames of reference in common. Both in terms of connecting one’s work to and in the sense of reading the tradition, as well as in terms of understanding photography and again theorizing this, via their practices.
